Sled ride!

We had a great time outside in the snow today!  There was a foot of snow, so plenty for a sled ride!  I took Oscar and Dillon for several laps, then Dillon wanted to take Oscar on a ride over the big snow mound in the middle of the court.  (Oscar is saying "cheese" but it is hard to tell under all those layers!)
They both had so much fun while we were out shoveling, and were ready for hot cocoa when they got done!

Snow Day!

It's our first Snow Day with almost a foot of snow!  Oscar got to try out his snow suit and get all dressed up in his new snow boots that get to be used outside, instead of running around the house!  Dillon has be Mr. Snowplow, shoveling snow from 3 driveways, but even he said this was a lot of snow!

Fun Christmas pict

Some of the fun the boys had on Christmas morning!

Dillon's Christmas with Nana and Granco

Dillon enjoyed his time with Nana and Granco too!  He got the coolest robotic crab and also a glow in the dark coloring set.   Cool beans!

Christmas with Nana & Granco

Oscar had a great time when Nana and Granco visited for Christmas!  He got a paint set and a set of markers and coloring book and he immediately started creating!  Of course the most fun was still the boxes! Here is our Oscar gift!

Egg Drop Winner!

DILLON WON!  Not only did the egg not break, but he received an award for the Most Unusual!  WOW!  Great job Dillon (and Todd too!)!!!

The Nerf Bomb!

For the Science Club, Dillon had to make a contraption that would keep an egg from breaking at 15 feet.  He and Todd created the "NERF BOMB"!  It is two sponges held together with rubber bands and with nerf darts attached all over the whole thing.  They tested it at the hotel and it kept the egg from breaking!  Great work scientists!

Superman... Rescue!

After the pictures of the boots were almost done, Oscar said his new favorite phrase, "Superman...Rescue!" and took off "flying" around the house in his new boots!  Here he is running around and doing his Superman imitation!  Where this came from, I have no idea.  But if you ask him, he is Superman!

New Boots

Oscar got new snow boots for winter.  Although this would typically not be a big deal, it was for him.  He DID NOT want them - because there were no lights or anything cool on them.  Why would he want plain shoes?!?  Then we explained they were for playing in snow.  Let's just say he has not taken them off yet!  He even wanted to model them for Aunt Lori and for Nana on the blog!  Here he is saying "Cheese"!

Oscar's first date?!?

Oscar had Grace over for a play date, and when I put in Baby Einstein, they both sat down in front of the TV and just watched.  From playing with every toy in the house to just sitting next to each other watching!  It was so cute!  They were both like that for more than half of the video.  I thought for sure when I took their picture, they would turn around and I could get a picture of their faces - but no, they were too into the movie!

Basketball Season

Dillon is all set for playing on the 3rd Grade team this year. He was REALLY excited to see the new uniforms, so I got him to pose and show them off. He had his first two games Saturday and played some minutes in each. Go Panthers!

Oscar's friends

Here are all of Oscar's friends from the Halloween party. Brooklyn is Dorthy, complete with Toto. Grace is a cow and had a great time playing with all the kids and even in the candy. Macey was a cat - although not the most cooperative one for a picture! She kept handing candy to us out of the bowls set out for trick-or-treaters - it was hilarious. And Rylee was a mouse. They all had a fun time handing out candy and seeing all the kids come by to the party house. Thanks for spending Halloween with us!

Swat Halloween

Dillon and Megan paired up this year for trick-or-treating, so they decided to dress alike. They were SWAT guys complete with face painting, thanks to Miss Dana. Dillon wanted to be something spooky, but Oscar was too afraid of the scary costumes, so he had to be something with his face showing that was not too creepy. Good choice, D! You and Megan looked cool!

First Trick-or-Treat

I got pictures of Oscar trick-or-treating the neighbors house. He was SO CUTE in his elephant costume! He had the biggest elephant butt ever! We kept singing the "I like big butts" song but adding elephant butts to it instead because it was so funny! After he did a couple of houses, we went to the party on our street where he had a blast playing with friends, eating mac n' cheese, and telling everyone what sound and elephant makes!
